At Saint-Étienne, we are working to optimize the ergonomics of our employees’ workstations.
In the cutting department, we modified wheeled carts by fitting them with runners and combining them with a lifting mechanism to eliminate the need to handle cutting dies between the preparation workshop and our two production facilities.
Before modification: After preparing the dies, two people had to handle them to position them on our two machines.
After adjustment: Once prepared, the cutting dies are placed on a cart and then lifted to the right height using an elevator to perform the die change.
Thanks to these adjustments, we are making progress towards a safer, more efficient and healthier working environment for all.
