CPC is very pleased to announce its new name and brand identity.
? WHY CHANGE?
We’re changing our identity to address social, internal, environmental and legal challenges :
Social : We need to reaffirm our values of common respect, equal opportunities, freedom of speech and of trade. -> This rebranding is the opportunity to modernise our image and say our values out-loud.
Internal : Within our different plants we need to share more efficiently information, news, successes and failures alike so that we grow together as a united team. -> This rebranding is not only external, it will also implement tools to unify our group and facilitate dialogue.
Environmental : 80% of the global warming occurs at ocean level especially the Atlantic Ocean, with dramatic alterations of our oceanic weather in Western Europe underway already ; we should do everything we can to reduce our carbon footprint, packaging waste and increase recyclability, sustainability and circularity of packaging not just at our level, but, as importantly, at our business partners level suppliers and customers alike. -> As packaging industrials, we have an expertise, we can use it to make a difference.
Legal : The EU requires from 2025 as part of the CSRD (Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive) all businesses to report tangible initiatives to increase sustainability of their processes and business practices; -> We need to take environmental actions regularly and report them in our corporate communication regularly.
? WHY THIS NAME ?
To indicate not just our geographical but also our commercial, cultural and political belonging to Atlantique Values such as human rights including freedom of speech, of trade, of movement, due process of law, habeas corpus, non discrimination and equal opportunities for all. To those asking why the name Atlantique when CPC Fina in Valencia is on the Mediterranean Sea and CPC St Etienne far from the Atlantique note Sweden and Finland just adhered once again to these values shared on both sides of the Atlantique by joining NATO (North Atlantic Treaty Organisation)). -> It is a mentality not only a locality!
French Atlantique ending to honour French values of Liberty, Equality, Fraternity with a French Touch of Creativity on top To commit the company to preserve the Atlantique Ocean as much as possible Packaging : to remind everyone our business is about protecting labeling and enhancing consumer products
? WHAT DOES THE LOGO REPRESENT?
☝️WHY THIS GREEN/OCEAN IMAGE?
Clearly to indicate a greater commitment to the environment and the ocean surrounding us. Here are our first 3 commitments :
1.Better solutions : As packaging manufacturers, we have to always propose our clients healthy, sustainable, and recyclable packaging and labelling solutions. -> See our ongoing lab developments!
- Better collection : Advocate for improved collection and recycling of packaging waste that is currently insufficiently addressed. -> Post-consumer waste can and should be improved!
- Better preservation: Take action with local associations for the preservation of the Atlantic coastline and its biodiversity. -> We will communicate more about this to you soon.
